Casa Overlook was specifically designed for large groups to enjoy each other’s company while soaking up the best ocean views in Hermosa. Our entire property has the perfect blend of common entertainment space balanced with privacy for your personal rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Our main house features an air-conditioned great room that hosts a fully equipped kitchen with a vaulted Costa Rican wood ceiling, floor to ceiling window wall to enjoy the incredible ocean and jungle views. Adjacent to the great room is an amazing infinity-edge pool with a sunken bar and outdoor kitchen area. Our outdoor area is perfect to host weddings, corporate events, and family reunions.
Casa Overlook is very kid-friendly. Kids love the wildlife, pool, and private guest house lounge area where they can watch TV or play video games. Please be aware the house sits on the side of a mountain with amazing unobstructed views, but close supervision is essential for young children as the railings are not solid.
Casa Overlook is the ultimate couples villa. With eight bedrooms the villa is the perfect tropical oasis providing privacy and a separate common area. Plenty of space to enjoy the infinity-edge pool listening to your favorite music while enjoying a refreshing cocktail. Your personal concierge will handle all your needs, daily maid service, and gourmet chef services. (Available through the property manager for a fee).

Yes, Casa Overlook is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and jungle scenery with phenomenal ocean views. The villa is the perfect venue for your special occasion. We can assist you in making your event a lifetime memory for you and your guests.
Casa Overlook is located in the prestigious Valle Perdido subdivision that overlooks Hermosa Beach and its world-class surfing. The villa sits ten minutes south of Jaco with its great nightlife, casinos, and incredible restaurants. Hermosa beach is a three to five-minute drive and boasts amazing restaurants and frequent surfing events.
It takes about 75 minutes from the airport to arriving at your personal Overlook villa. On your way, you will pass by many popular attractions, restaurants, and grocery stores if you choose to stop.

Yes, we have high-speed internet throughout the entire villa.
We only rent the villa to one group at a time. The only other people you will see is our amazing staff there to help make your stay unforgettable. You might see monkeys of course!
Costa Rica uses the same 120V outlets that are used throughout the US and Canada. In European countries where 220V is common an adaptor will be needed.
The villa is surrounded by many amazing beaches. Playa Hermosa is 5 minutes away for the experienced surfer and beach lover. Jaco Beach is ten minutes away and provides a great family-friendly, beginner surfing experience with amazing sand and water sports.
Yes, we have:

- Boogie Boards, Surfboards, chairs, and umbrellas can be rented on the beach
Yes, a $1,000 security deposit will be required. It will be returned to you, minus any damage or broken items within a week of your departure.
It is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance to cover any unforeseen events.
Yes, the dollar is accepted throughout Costa Rica.
We always recommend you bring some cash for tipping and taxi rides. However, credit cards are widely accepted at most restaurants and shops.
Traveling from the US and Canada is easy with a valid passport that does not expire within six months. Always pack a separate printed copy of your passport and take a photo of it with your phone too.
If you are traveling from other countries check with a local travel agent for your specific requirements.
Tipping in Costa Rica is greatly appreciated, but it’s up to you based on your level of satisfaction. Typically 10% is greatly appreciated by servers. The staff at your Villa greatly appreciates tips for their great service. They work hard so you can relax and enjoy your vacation.
Pack for warm weather, lots of sun, and outdoor activities. You will need bathing suits, shorts, T-shirts, and proper footwear for different surfaces. Water shoes are great for the beach and walking around. Hiking sandals are great for most activities.
Dress is always casual, ladies may prefer sundresses that are great for the beach to restaurants and bars. Guys tech shorts were made for this trip with moisture-wicking shirts. Always throw in a rain poncho as Costa Rica has pop-up storms year-round.
ALWAYS pack extra sunscreen or sun protective shirts and hats! The sun can be brutal!
